Kodak Ektar 100 is a professional-grade ISO 100 color negative film known for its ultra-fine grain, which Kodak claims is the finest of any color negative film available. Its signature look is defined by ultra-vivid color and high saturation, producing images with strong contrast and a vibrant pop, especially in reds, blues, and greens. While this makes it a favorite for landscape, travel, and commercial photography where colors need to sing, its tendency to accentuate a magenta/red tint means it's often considered less ideal for natural-looking skin tones in portraiture unless carefully exposed and corrected in post-processing. It requires precise exposure for optimal results, as it is less forgiving of underexposure compared to other color negative films.
