One of the amazing features of a Fujifilm digital camera are the built in film simulations. And one of the great options is that you can create a jpg format picture in camera which you can immediately share online.
The challenge however is knowing which simulations to use. Of course we have our subjective preferences in terms of colours, saturation, highlights and shadows, but just like in 35mm film, some films are made for day time, and other for night time.
I have therefore taken two photos and applied the film simulations that are recommended for day and night time photography. Nothing says you can't apply a day time simulation to a night time scene, I'm just using what is recommended based on how it is used in analog film. Also not forgetting film has a ISO setting backed into the film and hence it's difficult to use a slow film during night time and vice versa. For B&W Acros is a very fine grain film, but fortunately if you prefer you can always add more grain in camera.
We will start with day time photography. The highlights have been adjusted to -90 and shadows to +74, whites +16 and blacks -38.

For the night time photo the adjustments are highlights -61, shadows +60, whites -6, blacks -14. I've increased the exposure by 1.39.
